Sebastian Ho
Guitarist
Sebastian Ho has been playing guitar for more than 20 years. The National University of Singapore civil engineering graduate gave up a future in engineering to pursue his love for music upon graduation in 2001.
Since then, the mostly self-taught guitarist has grown to become one of the most sought-after and versatile session guitarists in Singapore. The team player not only has a knack for playing many genres, whether it is the blues, jazz, rock, classical, ethnic music, etc, he is at home whether he is performing solo, in a duet or a group.
Other than performing for numerous corporate functions, festivals, concerts, musicals, recordings and TV performances, Sebastian has also been invited to perform for many renowned international productions, the most recent being the billion-dollar grossing musical The Lion King in 2011 and The Chorus Line in 2012. In August 2014, he also performed alongside the Singapore Symphony Orchestra (SSO) in Facing Goya, the grand opening concert for the newly renovated Victoria Theatre, in conjunction with the Singapore International Festival of The Arts.
He has performed alongside numerous Singapore and international artistes such as Malaysia's pop diva Siti Nurhaliza and Singapore Idols Taufik Batisah and Hady Mirza, Singapore's Father of Rock Ramli Sarip, Donne Ray (The Platters) and mando/canto pop stars Kenny Bee, Shirley Kwan, Mavis Hee, Qi Yu, Eric Moo, Wan Fang, Pan Yue Yun, Kit Chan, Cheng Sheng, Liang Wen Fu etc. When not playing as a sideman, Sebastian leads his own world fusion group The SBT Trio, which has performed in clubs as well as the MOSAIC Music Festival 2014.
