Sharon Nunis

Pianist

 

Born in KL and raised in Singapore, Sharon started her foray into music at the age of 3. She started playing in church at 17 and eventually functioned as music director in her group.

 

She fell in love with jazz during a month in The Player's School of Music, Florida. Two years later, she set off for The Collective, NYC, to continue her musical journey. There, she was exposed to various musical styles such as Brazilian, Afrocuban and Contemporary Jazz.

 

Upon her return to Singapore, she has been performing at events as a solo pianist and a keyboardist with various groups due to her versatility in many genres, from classical to pop, to jazz. She is valued by fellow musicians for her professional work ethic, and her eagerness to explore new boundaries in music.

 

Apart from the above, Sharon is also known as an adaptive accompanist for musical theatre classes and school choirs. Besides performing, she teaches piano privately and is known for her passionate and creative approach to helping students overcome barriers to expressing themselves.
