Tan Yao Zong

Classical music formed the foundations for Yao Zong in his formative years, picking up the piano at the age of nine, before going through the Music Elective Programme (MEP) in secondary school and junior college, which culminated in a first prize in the Inaugural TJC Piano Competition (Solo Category) in 2007. His zest for music has taken him into pop and contemporary keyboarding during his time in university, where he has not looked back ever since.

 

Since venturing into pop, Yao Zong has had many performing opportunities and won numerous accolades at various events: weddings, bars, community club events/functions, competitions (NEA Eco Music Challenge 3rd Prize) and even corporate events (Earth Hour 2012, CLAP!).
